At Aldington live stock market entries of fat sheep and tat lambs were much -larger than of late, and there "its a fairly large yarding of fat cattle and more numerous entries of store sheep. Good store wethers sold well, but lambs were easier. Fat Lambs.—Failing-mouth ewes 6s to is 3d, 2-tooth wethers Tls to 12fi 6d, fair 4-tooth wethers 14s to 15s Id, forward 4-tootli wethers 15s id to 17s Bd, ewe lambs 9s 6d to lie, good lambs 6s 10s to 9s, cull lambs 2s (id to 5s 3d. Fat Lambs.—The sale was dragging throughout, and prices showed a drop of about 2s per head as compared with last week's prices. Prime lambs 15s to 19s 4d, others 7s lid to 14s 6d. burnside prices. Dunedin, May 19. Ac Burnide to-da.v 220 tat cattle were yarded. The number proved to be in excess of butchers' requirements. At the beginning of the sale there was very little difference in prices compared with last week, but as the sale progressed values receded about £1 per head. Best bullocks "£l3 10s to £15 2s 6d, medium £12 to £13. light and unfinished £8 10s to £9 10s, best heifers £11 10s, medium to £8 10s, light and unfinished to £5 10s. There was another Urge yarding ot tat sheep, 3374 being penned. There were very few good quality wethers forward, and any such met with spirited competition, realising prices slightly in advance of those ruling last week. Good quality ewes were in fair demand and sold well, but unfinished ewes and wethers were neglected and hard to [>lace. Prime wethers 2(3s to 29s ,extr« o 31s. medium 21s-to 2T5s, unfinished 14s to 17s (3d, best ewes 22s to 235, extra to 29s (3d, medium l(3s to 18s, inferior to Us. Fat lambs.—lo9B were penned.- This was an unexpectedly large entry in. view of the fact that Elie freezing works j are still closed. Butchers secured a lew of the heaviest and the balance were bought by graziers. Prices were little better than last week. Best 17s to 18s 6d, extra to 53s 3d, medium low to 10s 6d .unfinished.to 12s 6d. LONDON WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office dated l7tTi mst ''Owing to congestion the London brokers have been obliged to cut out wool from the following ships in the present series of wool sales, viz., AngloBrazilian, Largo Law, and Balmore."
