Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report having held a most successful clearing sale ol dairy stock on account of Mr R. A. McDonald, ol Levin, on Monday last. 'I here was a good attendance ol buyers and bidding for all lobs was particularly keen. The whole herd of 50 cows made the remarkably good average of £8 10s (id. The greater portion of the cows were August September calvers and these sold at the following range of prices: £7 10s. £8, £8 17s 6d, £Z< ss. ,C!) 15s. £10 ss, £10 17s Gd, £12 15s. £13. to a,s high as £13 15s. The late ealvers realised : £4 10s. £5 ss, £7 2s (id. I'B 12s Gd to £9 A nice line of 25 2-year-old heifers in calf, due in August and September, made £G. Hulls Co 5s and £7. «
