The Daily Chronicle's Dardanelles' correspondent says on the 7th May the Allied ships penetrated Narisiglar Bay, and bombarded Chanak, Nagara, Kilid Balir and Kalessi, at close range with considerable effect. The Turks were driven to the woods behind Krithia, where they 'were severely bombarded. The ifigliting continues far inward from Gaba Tepe, but ouir hold of the ridges is secure. Maidos was burning throughout the 6th. AUSTRALIANS MASSACRED. Athens, May 10. It is reported that the Turks massacred half a company of Australians. The latter fought obstinately inflicting great losses. A USTRALIAN CASUALTIES. Sydney. May 11. Ihe total to date is 178 dead and 985 wounded. FRENCH GAIN MORE GROUND. Paris, May li. Official—Despite German counterattacks we maintained yesterday's gains and enlarged them, notably between Carency and Sonches. The German prisoners exceed 3000. THE BERLIN REPORT. Berlin, May 11. nglo-Frenbh attacks by four fresh Army Corps, in addition to the old troops, were repulsed with heavy losses, especially to the British. We took priosner 500. A communique states that we repulsed an attempt at night to retake the captured earthworks at St. Georges Our progress northwards of Arras continues. We have invested Carencv on three sides where we captured 230 more prisoners and several machine guns. The Germans now have n precarious comunication with Carencv. The enemy's reinforcement® were lit'ought by motor cars from Lens and Douai. and did not enable them to regain the upper hand. Out fire smashed four strong counter-attacks yesterday afternoon at Loos, Notre Dame de Lorette, liouchez, Neuveille and St. Vast. We also gained' ground, taking 100 prisoners. To last evening upwards of fifty officers have been captured.
