lhe annual meeting of the Horowheima Hockey Association was held in tile Levin Hotel oil Thursday even- • lug there were present: -Messrs Broughton, Howe, Hyunsell, Tuohy, Phillips, Ihonipson, Claridge, Morgan, Kirkland, Walton and lvarauti. ilr W. Broughton presided, lhe report and balance sheet, the latter showing a credit balance of £8 [7fe 3d, were adopted as read. The report stated that the formation )i the Otaki sub-association was a great ■success in the southern district and the gillie lias gone iihead in that part, i lie ladies' club showed great improve- - neut and they were able to place a representative team in the field against a "Wellington team and put up a ?ood against them latter. The Oh an ladies' team again won the championship and the Mackenzie cup is now i heir property. The ladies clubs are i-o be affiliated to the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association.. The men's representative team was lefeated by a Wellington team at -Levin I'he Green Cup was won by the Otaki team, and the association congratulates flic winners on tlieir success. It desires to thank Mr D. Green for present■ng such a handsome cup for competition, and also all others who assisted ' re-tendered the association's warmest tlianks. The prospects tor the coming game are not too bright, hut it i* 11 oped that the clubs will stick togeth•r and keep the game going. The Association committee wish to place oti ecord the services of all players ami ■flicials who have gone or may he gong to the front, and extends to is best wishes.
