At Addington to-day there were moderate entries of stock and a fair attendance of buyers. Fat cattle sold at last week's rates, and there was a little improvement in store sheep. Fat lambs were firmer by fully 2s per head, and fat sheep by 2s to 3s. Store Sheep.—Yarding was strikingly small. Medium 4 and 6-tooth wethers made 12s 7d to 12s lid', medium 2tooth wethers 8s 9d to lis 3d, inferior 2-tooth wethers 7s "to 8s 6d ,aged ewes 5s to 6s 7d, aged merino ewes 3s 4d to 4s 4d, good sound-mouth ewes 10s 9d to 13s Id; 2, 4, and 6tooth ewes 7s 6d to 10s 7d, fairly forward lambs 8s 9d to 10s, medium lambs 7s to 8s 6d, inferior lambs 3s 6d to 6s 2d, good ewe lambs lis Vd. iF'at Lambs.—Entry was somewhat larger than last week's totalling 2618. The quality was not any better but more even. There was an improved demand additional competition being provided by the operations of a buyer from Souithland and another from Temuka, as well as several local graziers. The range of prices was:—Prime lambs 17s to 20s others 10s 6d to 16s 6d: Fat Sheep.—Eight races were filled with fat sheep of average quality. From the start the market was firmer than last week by 2s to 3s per head, though towards tho close of the sale prices were a shade easier; Fut a good clearance of' offerings was made. Extra prime wethers made to 255, prime wethers 19s 6d to 23s 9d, other wethers 15s lOd to 19s, merino wethers 10s lOd, extra prime ewes to 24s tid, prime ewes to 17s to 225, medium ewes 12s 6d io 16s 6d, inferior ewes 7s 53 to 12s. Fat Cattle.—Yarding totalled 223 head compared with 213 last week. There was no quotable change in values Extra steers made to 3317 ss, ordinary steers £5 10s to £11, extra heifers to £12 10s, ordinary heifers £5 10s to £8 extra cows to £13 ss, ordinary cows £4 to~ £7 10s; price of beet per lt)01b 26sto 40s. Store cattle were entered in small numbers, and of an indifferent clnss, and There wa.s little demand. Fifteen to 18-month sorts made 25s to 40s; 2-year steers passed at £3 10s; 2-year heifers £2 15s to £2 17s 6"d; 3-year steere passed at £6 15s; "3-year heifers passed at £11 ; dry cows £2 to £5 4s. Dairy cows made £3 10s."to '£13. Fat pigs.^—A full yarding included some good animals. Good porkers were rather scarce and the demand was anything but strong. Extra choppers to 765, ordinary 30s to 6\>s; extra heavy baconers to 72s 6d, heavy baconers 57s 6d to 655, light baconers 4/s 6d to 555; price per lb 5d to 518. Heavy pork--ers 33s to 38s. light porkers 25b to 30s; price per lb 5d to s|d. Best stores 28s to 32s .medium 18s to 275. small 12s to 17s, weaners 2s .d to lis.
