Death of Mr Hugh Hall
The many friends of 'Mr Hugh Hall, of Levin, «ill regret to hear of his •-loath "Inch took place in the Otaki Hospital at 7.30 Jast evening. MiHall was apparently in good health up i t last Saturday, when he was seized with an attack of appendicitis and was removed to the Otaki Hospital where an operation was performed on Sunclay, but he never rallied.
Mr Hall was born in the Nelson province forty years ago, and about sixteen years ago came to this district and started business as hairdresser and tobacconist, and in the years since elapsed he built up a successful business. He was a prominent member of the Druids, and was a member of Levin's first borough council. He took a prominent interest in sports of all'kinds' and gave liberal support to the chub's.
Mr Hall leaves a widow and the sympathy of the people of Levin and district will be extended to her in her sad bereavement.
