lhe second annual Motor Cycle lload llacing Carnival pi'oinoted by the Sydney Bicycle and Motor Cycle dub, was successfully carried through during the Easter Holidays and provided some excellent racing. Visiting riders from Victoria practically swept the board, winning the two classes championships and the open handicap. The racing was conducted over a 33 miles circuit near Bredalbane (147 miles from Sydney) and assisted by fine weather and good road surface some exceedingly fflst times were recorded. The premier event, 100 miles championship of N.S. W. drew a splendid field of twenty riders, and after a most spirited contest resulted in a win for the Victorian crack, J. Booth, on a Dunlop-shod 6.7 h. p. Indian, in the record time of lhr 50 min 294.5 6ecs., eonie 10 mins 224.5 sees, faster than recorded fay H. Jenkins (Victoria) in last years classic Booth's first lap 33-1.3 miles was covered in 36 mins 43-2.5. sees., the second in 37 mins 7-2.5 sees and third in 30 mine 39 sees the full distance covered without a dismount, his average speed was 54$ miles an hour, which means every mile of the "century" in 66secs a rattling performance. J Dixon (Victoria) finished second in 1 hour. 52 mins 20 sees., and J Dunn (Victoria) of Sydney-Melbourne record fame third in 1 hour 57 mins 18 sees. Dixon and Gunn both rode Dunlop shod 7 h. p. Indians. Booth ako put up a splendid performance in the open handicap (1 lap) he winning from scratch in the record time of 36 mins 42secs from a standing start. • •••••• A (Further success was Boored by another Victorian in K. Walker, who won the 600 0. C. Championship over a 66 miles course in 1 hour 20 inins 37-2.5 6ecs. His mount was a3Jh. p. Indian and "Dunlop" tyres. The other event decided was a members' handicap 1 lap, which was won b,v the popular X. S. TV. rider J. orT a 6 h. p. Zenithmins !) sees.
