Annua! Meeting of Parishoners

The annual meeting of parishioners connected with the Anglican Church was held in the church room on Wednesday, April 21. Owing to so many counter-attractions the attendance was not so large "as last year. The Rev. H. T. Stealer occupied the chair. The balance-sheet was read and on the proposal of the vicar, seconded by Mr Holdawa.v. was received, and after a little explanation both report and hal-•ance-slioet were adopted. The vicar read his report which will he published in a later issue. The following were appointed as churchwardens and vestrymen if or the onsuting year :—Vicar's warden. Mr T. Brown: people's warden. Mi- 7f. C. Holdaway: vestrymen. Messrs Outfield. Easther, Gapper Hall. Hinton. Howell. Sister, Pyke. Saxon, and Stock-well. Mr IT. "r>. Wallace was elected auditor. The following programme was' gone through and received with cordial approval:—Piano, Miss Lancaster; song, Mrs Gardener: Recitation. Mrs Keedwell; part song, ladies of the choir: recitation. Trooper Walker; song, Miss Scott: song, Mrs Smith : song. Mrs Gapper: competition : •song. Miss McNickle; «ong. Mrs Gapper ; duet. Mrs Matthews and Gapper: National Anthem. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the musical items.
