Senator Pearce introduced in itho Senate a bill to amend the War Pre cautions Act, giving the Defence authorities more stringent power Amongst other things it gives them power to requisition any factories or workshops, or their output for munition supplies. AVhere a courtmartial proves that an offence was committed witli the intention of assisting the enemy, the qffender shall be liable to tho death penalty.
