In cold weather a plate lull of good, hot, nourishing soup is most acceptable. The ingredients for making the best in soups are sold by Mr H. E. Keys, either in packets or tins already mixed. For thise who prefer to do the mixing themselves Mr Keys has ample supplies of fresh vegetables, split peas, and lentils. See replace advertisement on page 3 of this issue.
Au unreserved sale ot jewellery, watches, etc., on behalf of Mr F. J. Glackin, will be held in Levin, next Friday, and Saturday, by E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers. The stock is all new and well-selected. Mr Glackin lias given up business in Levin, and this is his only reason lor disposing of the stock in this way. 'ilie goods will be on view throughout this week in the business premises- ot Mr Glackin, and the sale will take place in the shop between Mr Hugh tlall's, and Mr T. Harris's.
