LEVIN STOCK SALES. There were good .vardiuys at the saleyards yesterday. especially of store stock. Prices lor lat .stock showed an advance, lat sheep selling mp to 22s ( xl. On ;i good forward line of wethers the vendor placed si reserve of 22s 'j(l, Imt they Here passed in at the time. Fat cattle were in demand and lat cows sold up to £11. and the market .showed a distinct advance. I here was a big supply of stores and some lines were passed in. One line of 50 store steers sold at £5 Cs. The pig market was much the same as at the previous sale. OTHER PRODUCE. Enquiries made at the local grocery stoies show that the following prices are ruling for:. Potatoes £4 10s to £5 per ton. onions Cs per cwt; eggs Is 3d to Is lOd per dozen, butter (separator) Hd to Is per lb. FRUIT -MARKET. -Mr D. There has been a fair demand for pears and all that came to hand sold at irom 5s to 6s per whole case. These, totalling 12 «•«?«. were chiefly bottling and cooking varieties. No dessert rears came to hand. The market for I <,mnces showed an improvement, and there was a better demand during the j week. GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT Ihe gi ain market in all is firm at current rates, and from reports received from our southern agents, there is little movement hi anv hues in the south. "Wheat, if anything. has eased a shade, whilst there are not many oats changing liamls. Harle.v is a scarce commodity at the present time, but there should he plenty on the market shortly. OS chaff is still firm and if anything is a shad* dearer. • Potatoes are selling well, especially good sample*, arid our advice to holders is to quit at present latcs.
