Good super wools were firm, but inferior classes declined. The best prices were J Id for merino and 13d for crossbred. AUSTRALIA'S OFFER. Melbourne. This Day. Senator Pearee announces that the Federal Government is offering a double general hospital war service containing 1,0(0 beds, and a staff of 35 officers and 146 nurses. This will be in addition to the hospital already sent. QUEENSLAND WHEAT CROP. The Agricultural Department anticipates that the Queensland wheat crop next year will greatly exceed the previous yields, and it is expected that the wheat area will bo 255,000 acres, an increase of nearly 1000 acres.
