WEEKLY PRODUCE REPORT

The market is steadily supplied with potal-oes, ami values rcinuin linn. There. i.s lair business |ja.ssiuy with Southern onions. Wheal is .stationary. Oats are. unchanged. All other grains are steady. Chaff is firm, and holders ire expecting higher prices later. Straw ia in fair supply. Hay" is scarce. Algerian Oatts continue in strong demand. Linseed oil cake is in ready sale, and the supply is not strong. Porkers are selling readily, and as the supply has already commenced to fall off considerably, we expect a rise in values to occur from time to time from now on. ' Suckers are dull of ale. Eggs are firm lor both fresh and preserved, and advanced rates are expected shortly. New season s honey is in gooil demand. Fruit. -There is a good supply of both cooking and dessert apples and values are about the same as last week. Choice dessert pears meet ready sale, but cooking varieties are dull of sale. Quinces are coming to hand freely, mtl demand is fair at prices indicated. The supply of tomatoes from the Hutf lias been very heavy during the week, iid prices are at bedrock. lira pes are "iiquired for. Vegeatbles. - Cabbages are meeting better sale. Cauliflowers are more plentiful since last report, and val.ios are a little lower. Oreen peas and beans sell readily. Moetrout is oiling well, and red cabbage i.s enquired for. Swedes arc selling readily. All root vegetables are easier in price. Lettuces are scarce, and excellent prices are realised for the few offering. Celery, mint and spring onions are clling freely.
