BUSINESS NOTES
A dance will be held in the Druid.*' Hall on Friday night. Details are advertised.Winter is approaching and in this connection Mr Walkley, Oxford-street, lias a most important replace advertisement on page three of this issue. A\ hen the opportunity came some time ago Mr Walkle.v promptly made a forward deaT and secured liis winter lin<m of tweedsj overcoats, waterproof rugs, lurs, blankets, etc., at a price which enables him to sell at surprisingly lowfigures. One instance of Mr Walklev's foresight is the fine lines of velveteens and French suede gloves df all shades which he secured. Owing to some of the factories in France where the vel- : voteens are made being in the hauls of the Germans, and the employees of j the others and the glove-makers being busy fighting, these lines are scarce now and will become scarcer in the near future so that people requiring velveteens or gloves would he wise to purchase now. Mr Walkley also has stocked an extensive range of children's dress materials, fancy goods, etc . all of which are marked for sale at reasonable prices.
