A meeting of Shannon footballers was held at the Club Hotel oil .Friday night. The president, Mr J. W. Murray occupied the chair. The following officers wore elected for the ensuing term:— Patron, Mr G. N. Wood; president, Mr J. W. Murray; secretary. Mr H. T. Graham; vice-presi-dents, Messrs Webb, McMillan, Greatbach, Kirkland, Fargher, Pickett, Caiman. Moynihan and Hook senr.; selectors, Messrs T. Dalziell and J. McMillan ; club captain. Mr T. Woods; management committee, .Messrs Spring, O'Regan. Hennessy, "Woods. Warrington. The colours are to be red and blue. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Murray that aTI members must be financial before playing in a match ana that all members be recommended to insure. It was resolved on the mo tion of Mr Hook, seeoiuled by Mr O'Regan that the names of Messrs .Mowbray. Russell, H. Newson, R. Moynihan. Jacobs and Hutler who have gone to the war be retained on the books of the club. The club will play Levin at Shannon on Saturday. April 17th. when the ladies of the Relict Committee will take lip a collection for the Helgians. Mr W. .Moynikrm was elected field captain. Votes of thank? were passed to the secretary. Mr Graham, and the president. Mr Murray, and the meeting terminated. BELGIAN RELIEF. A meeting of persons interested in the Belgian Relief Fund was held on Wednesday evening. It was decide I to hold a sports meeting on April 28t'i on the old racecourse, the programme to begin at 11.30 a.m. The following were appointed stewards: Messrs W. Moynihan. W. Victors. T. Greatbach. H. Graham, F. Lin.se]]. S. W. Carter, W. IJ. Gunning. J. "W. Murray. T. Gibson. Cobler. J. "Richardson, .7. Davies. "R. Tippler. J. H. Fargher. Judges: Messrs G. Barber, L. McDonald. J. Makin and M. Winiata. A dance will be held in the Druids' Hall in the evening when the trophies won will be presented.
