ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of tho Levin Hockey Club was held in Air D. Smart'-' office last evening. Tlwjro was u go'.l attendance and Air W. lirougiton w;*s okcted to the chair. The annual report and bahr.ce-sbeet were adopted as read. The balancesheet showed a credit of £2 l-')s iM. Ea.sther and Horn have left for the front. The Magpies (H team) was second in the race for the cup last year and two of their players. White-house and Smart, were selected to play in tho rep. team against "Wellington. Tn compe tition games they played 19 games, von 10. lost 5 and drew 4; points for 23. against 13. They scored 38 goals against 22; individual scorers were Smart IP, McDonald 4. McDermott 3, Young 2, Pringlo 3. Thompson 2. Fletcher 3 and Wininta 2. * The record of the Artists (A team) was almost as good as the above. They played 18 games, won 9, lost 6 and drew 3: points for 21, against 15; goals 15 for and 15 against. Individual scorers were: Broughton 6, Tuohy 4, Winter 2, "Wininta 1, Dixon 1, ami Macindoe 1. The coining season promises to be as successful as the last one. ■ A letter was received from Mr J. K. Dean tendering his resignation as president of .the club. Tho resignation was accepted with deep regret und the club decided to place on record its keen appreciation of his services to tho club in the past. The following officers Here elected: Patron, Mr E.
