An advertisement ot Wise's Directory appears on page 2 of to-day's Chronicle. Tenders for metalling Wanga lloart (near Mr J. R. McDonalds) are invited by Mr Jas Malcolm, county engineer. The metalling of Ohau East Road is another work for which tenders are called. Repairs to a bridge on the main road at Tokoinaru also are to be carried out. Tenders will be received al the County (JSice (for all three works) up to Saturday, April 10th. addressed to tlse Chairman of thio Council. An important replace advertisement appears on page 1 of this issue. In it -Mr T. Broome, of the cash store, Weraroa. gives a price list of about a dozen lines of household provisions. Factory butter is quoted at Is 3d per lb. Mr Broome also has a stock of "Polivit, , the new cleaning and polishing agent.
