The Minister for Customs was interviewed to-day regarding export of produce from the dominion. He made the following further statement:— Stocks of brun held in the Dominion are under normal, but as bran deteriorates by keeping, permission has been given for a limited export, and applications will be considered week by week. Straw and eliaff are not prohibited from export; they can be exported without permission, but the Customs must be satisfied that the grain has Keen threshed out.
