Levin Acclimatisation Society.
ANXUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Levin branch of" the Acclimatisation Society was held in -Mr D. Smart's rooms last evening. There were present: Messrs AV. Becher, E. S. Lancaster, H. Hall, AV. Hughes and Dr Davies. Mr Becher presided. The annual report and balance-sheet - the latter showing a credit balance of £1 13s 7d—were adopted as rend. The annual report stated that 150 yearling trout and 35.000 brown troutfry were liberated in the Weauis throughout the district during the last 12 months. The following officers were elected : Committee: Messrs W. Hecher (ehairniiin). H. Hall. W. Palmer, 13. S. Lancaster. Major Burlinson and Dr Davit*. Secretary, Mr W. Hughes.
Dr Davies was re-appointed the representative for the Levin branch to the New Zealand Council.

A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
