HIDE AND SKIN KEI'OKT Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report:—ln conjunction with the final wool sale of the season hold on Wednesday, March 2ith, wo offered our usual fortnightly catalogue* of •skins, hides and tallow, iuid with the exception of hides the results showed a further ri.se on last .sale prices. Skins and tallow sold exceptionally well as the range of prices given below .will show, but it is difficult to explain tho dragging market for hides of Id per lb for ox, and ljd per lb tor cow. Tho decline is probably in sympathy ivith tho Australian market, but we trust that it will be only of a temporary natuj'o. The following is the range ol prices:— Sheepskins..-.Fine crossbred 11 id, medium to coarse 10} to llJd; short to half wools Bld to 9»d. dead and damaged 8-tf to 9Jd: inferior and badly damaged 4]d to 7^l; lambs 9Jd to lljd; damp, .salted and green 5s to 7j 9d ; pelts 3s Gd to 5s 3d. Hides.—Ox heavy COlbs up 9|d to 10id; medium 50 to 59 Bjjd to 10id: ; light 49 and under 9d to 10|d; cow. heary 551bs and over 8d to 10; medium 42 to 54 BJd l<, 10d; slippy said inferior 6d to 7J ; bull, stag 5 to 51d : ycarlinge 16 to 24 7sd: calf superior 9Jd to lOJd; medium to good BJd to IOd ; damaged 6} to B}d. Tallow.—Tn casks 27» to 27s fid; in tins, etc., 20s 6d to 28s Gd. Sundries.—CW tails Is 7d.
