In the New Zealand Times "this morning is published the names of Malcolm Ross and Ernest V. Hall as "the two nominees for the position of war correspondent. The Press Association is requested to state that the report that only two candidates were nominated is inaccurate and that lour names were sent in by the committee. ( The Hon. H. D. Bell will make the final selection. ARBITRATION COURT WILL HEAR DISPUTES. Thi6 Day. The Arbitration Court to-dav decided to resume the hearing oT industrial disputes. The President of the Court ha id tha t although certain industries were suffering from the effects of the war, the Dominion was singularly iree from any ill effects, and enjoying a degree of prosperity quite remarkable iwider the circumstances. This was . largely due to the exceeding high price® ruling for primary products and he hoped that the workers would be actuated by the question of self-interest and refrain from attempting to impose fresh burdens upon industries which ' could not reasonably bo expected to i bear them. In any award the Court I would make it would reserve the right I to review the conditions should due j cause bo shown.
