J.lie market ior potatoes remains steady, and the supply good, ill both quantity and quiiity. Wo still continue to quote fowl wheat at 7s od bushel, which is below tile price it can bo landed at to-day. We do not intend to increase the price so long as ou. picsent stocks last. Barley is quoting at high rates. lsla id maize of excellent quality is now available. Seed Algerian oats are in exceptionally good demand. "We have now fair quantity to offer for immediate delivery. Good business is .e------ingdone in grass seed. Chaff is offering more freely, but there is a hardening tendency in values. Whiit straw is plentiful, but oaten very hard to procure. The dry weather is • esponsible for the fact that farmers are letaining their oaten straw for stock feed. This same cause !has also brought a big demand for Molasses ior cattle feeding. Porkers are in good demand, but suckers are rather dull of salo at lower prices. Eggs are slightly higher. New honey is enquired for, and would meet ready sale. Vegetables —Cabbages sell readily. Choice lines of cauliflowers are scarce, and small lines offering realise satisfactory prcies. Green peas are offering in small quantities. Beans are Higher and choice lines are scarce lettuces, are in good demand at satisfactory rates. Swedes are in fair sale. All root vegetables meet ready sale. Celery meet fair demand. Fruit.—Choice dessert and cookinj apples are in good demand and price; have advanced for good green cookers Cooking and dessert pears meet sals. Auckland passion iruit are arriving regularly, and are in good demaid | "here is good demand for ripe tomatoes, and from enquiries made growers 111 Hutt districts are experiencing difficulty in getting their crops ripe.
