Tt« unnatural retention of uric acid and ether urinary and biliary poisons in tiie blood produce* a group of com plaints which inflict upon humanity long-continued suffering and intense pain. The most common of these complaints are rheumatism, gout, lum bago, sciatica, and neuralgia.
