Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report.—At Levin on Friday" good entries of all classes of stock were offered but competition wasanything but brisk and the majority of lines failed to change hands under the hammer, a fair amount of business being done after the sale, however, at the following quotations.— Sheep.—Fat ewes 17s Id to 20s; fat wethers 225; forward ewes 14s Id; 2-tootli wethers 16s 7d to 17s 3d; 2tooth ewes 15s to 17s 2d; f.m. ewes 7s to 10s; lambs 6s to 8s 6d. Cattle.—Fat cows ,CB 10s to £7 10; forward cows £4 5s to £4. 18s; weaner steers (good) 35s to £2; mixed weaners 275; weaner heifers (good) 30s; heifers in calf £4 to £4 10s; empty 3-year heifers £3 IBs.

Pigs.—Baconers £2; porkers £1, 255, 265. 28s, 30s to 31e; stores 8s 6d to 12s 6d.

DALGETY AND COMPANY, LIMITED.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. Lt3. report having held their usual' weekly sale at Levin yards on Friday when they offered to a fair attendance of buyers a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Business was slow and the sale right through lacked animation. However, at the end ot the day most of the lines which were passed by auction were disposed oT privately. The principal sales were as under Sheep.—Good-skinned 2-tooth wethers 17s to 18s; 6-tootfi to f.f.nt ewes 17s Id; good 2-toofh wethers 16s 6d; medium 2-tooth wethers 14s 6d to 16s; forward 4-tooth wethers 19s: 2-tooth to 6-tooth ewes (small) iss 9d : good woolly lambs 10s 3d; k.hi. ewes 10s M to lis 5d : shorn lambs 7s to 8s 6d : heavy fat ewes 20s: licrh't fat ewes 17s 9d.

Cattle.—Fat cows (medium) £6 2s 6d to £7 13s; forward cows £1 to £5 2s; forward bullocks £8 os ; cull cows and calves i.'j -j.s ; yearling steers £2 12s; 3-vear-old-steers £7 ?s; 18-months heifers in calf £3 16s: weaners 28s.
