BELGIAN RELIEF FUND.
AJKAPAEPAJfi RESi-DEATS ASSIST. A large and representative public iveotiiig was held in the Arapaepae Hull on Friday night last, to consider ways and nioaais of raising mo icy for tile Belgian Relief Fund. Mr S. A. Broadbolb was elected chairman and explained tlio object ot the meeting. After some discussion it was decided to set up a committee ot ladies and men to make arrangements to hold a sale of work and home industries and Mi hold a gift auction. The following committee (with power to add to its number) was elected: — Messrs S. A. Broadbelt (chairman), .Curtis, Horiic. S. Rolston, R Rolston, McDonald, and Mesdames Rutherford, Shute and Gorringe. Mr Curtis was appointed secretary. It was decided that the sale of work, home industries and gift miction be held on 'Wednesday, March 31st. The meeting was a most enthusiastic one. Everyone present, especially the young folk, took" great interest in the business, and promised to do their utmost to make the sale of wwk. etc. a success, and there is every indication that their efforts will result in a handsome addition being made to tVe Belgian Fund.
