A free display of trick swimmi'l4 life rescues ,and so forth, will be given in Levin next Wednesday at the Coronation Batlis by some dozen members of the Royal Life Saving Society'sAVellington branch. The Levin Borough Council is arranging the display, which will start promptly at 2 p.m. .- s the garden party to be given in aid 'ot the Belgian Relief Fund by the Ladies' Croquet Club will be held in ihe vicinity at 3 p..m, doubtless the residents of the town and district will patronise both.
The Levin Company of Territorial left by the New Plymouth train t'-u morning for the camp at Alarton.
In Levin at present a good number of people are suffering trom severe colds.
To aid the Belgian Relief Fund Master Warren Joyce, grandson of Mrs Bowen, Levin, has given his pet lamb to be sold at the garden party to I e held on Levin Bowling Green next AVednesday. The gathering is to be made a notable one in the local records of such events. A neeting of the Ladies' Croquet Club social committee was held on Saturday eveni-ig when final arrangements were nude for the entertainment of guests.
