A telegram received in iievin today by Mr J. W. Gibson reports that the minister for Otaki Methodist Circuit is to be the present clergyman (Rev Mr Cottom). In the first draft submitted to conference the name of the Rev Mr Hunt was set down for Otaki.
Levin Chamber of Commerce meets on Tuesday, 9th instant, to discuss trade and other local matters. The matter of closer settlement is likely +o be further discussed, apropos of the lengthy negotiations for acquiring a second portion of the Heatherlea Estate, Levin.
