Large supplies of potatoes are now coming regularly into the market and prices are easier. We are glad to x'eport that the quality is exceptionally good this year. Onions are now arriving in regular supplies from the south, and are meeting ready sale. A very little business is passing in fowl wheat on account of the high values. It is difficult to forecast the luture of the market for oats and we prefer to make no comments thereon just now. Pollard is rising still higher, and is now a record price. Bran is, however, stationary. A fair quantity of new season's chaff is now coming into the market, and fair sales are being made There is an exceptionally good demand for oaten straw for stock feeding n the dry districts. Eggs are in good demand, aiso new honey and larger supplies of both could be satisfactorily dealt with.
Vegetables.—Choice lines of green peas are in short supply, and are selling at good prices. Beans are selling at fair rate only. Cabbages are plentiful, and selling at low rates. Choice cauliflower are in good demand and selling at satisfactory prices. Lettuces are selling well. Swedes meet fair demand. All other root vegetables nre easier since last report.
Fruit.—Peaches and plums are about finished. Dessert pears are arriving m large quantities and prices are fair where quality is good. Dessert and cooking apples meet goou demand at prices mentioned. The demand for tomatoes is exceptionally good for this time of the year and keen competition for choice line prevails. Grapes are selling l'reoly. Potatoes.—Prime £7 to £7 10s; oUiers £5 to £6. Cabbage.—Choice 2s 6d to 3s; others Is tid per sack. Cauliflower.—Choice 8s wi to 10s Csd ; others 4s to 5s sack. Carrots.—l3est 4s to os; others 3s 6d per sack.
