STOCK SALES

There was a good yarding of nil classes of stock with the exception .>f Tats, which were few, at the yards lor yesterday's sale. The demand for all clasps was dragging . Fat sheep sold at about th esa'mo rates and well toiwarci lines to 16s 7d ; light fat cows to £6 3s, but the difference between buyers" and sellers' prices when it came to tlie stores was very marked and a 'ot were passed in. One pen of 33 storo steers were passed in at £8 Is, the reserve being £8 10s. Another pen of t.etween 20 and 30 sold at £7 3s. The market for fat pigs was about the same as last sale, but for stores and young pigs it was slow, no doubt owing to the falling-off in the milk supply.
