Lajgo supplies oi potatoes are now toißiug regularly into the market and prices are easier. Wβ are gLad to report tnat the quality is exceptionally good this year. Onions are now arriving in regular supplies from the south, and are meeting ready sale. A very little business is passing in fowl wheat on account ot the high values. It is difficult to forecast the ruture oi the market for oats and we prefer to make no comments thereon just now. l'ollard is rising still higher, and is now a record price. Bran is, however, stationary. A fair quantity of new season's chaff is now coming into the market, and fair sales are being made There is an exceptionally good demand for oaten straw for stock feeding n the dry districts. Eggs are in good demand, aiso new honey and larger supplies of both could be satisfactorily dealt with. Vegetableß.—Choice lines of green peas are in short supply, and are selling at good prices. Beans are selling at fair rate only. Cabbages are plentiful, and selling at low rates. Choice cauliflower are in good demand and selling at satisfactory prices. Lettuces are selling well. Swedes meet fair demand. All other root vegetables are easier since last report. Fruit.—Peaches and plums are about finished. Dessert pears are arriving in large quantities and prices are fair where quality 16 good. Dessert and cooking apples meet gooci demand at prices mentioned. The demand for tomatoes is exceptionally good for this time of the year and keen competition for choice line prevails. Grapes are selling freely.
