A cantata in aid or the Belgian Itelief Fund was given in Tokoniaru last Friday night and about £'15 realised. It is probable that tho performance will bo repeated in Shannon.

The dairy factory is doing well notwithstanding the war. The output oi butter amounts to 47 boxes.

Tho many tiieuds of Mr \V. Dalziel who recently mot with an accident at Koputaroa railway station, will be pleased to hoar that ho is on his legs again. Mr Dalziel is taking a look round Shannon.

It was Mr P. Olsen who won Messrs King and Eagle's trophy at the Miranui Guu Club's shoot and not Mr Eagle as was stated in a previous issue.
