? GOOD DEMAND FOR PEACHES.
Mr D. Smart, manager of the Horo-
wlienua Fruitgrowers' Association's depot, Oxford street, reports as follows : During the week the demand ror peaches has 'been exceptionally good and has quite exceeded the supply. ' All peaches to hand cleared readily at 4s (id the half case. Growers can send forward peaches in full confidence that they will be sold. The demand for apples has been good and the market has been well supplied. The ruling price- is 3s per half case. There is no demand whatever for plums. A few enquiries have been made for pears '"it as yet nono have appeared in the market. (Note.—The Association's depot is open to receive and sell fruit between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. every week-day except Wednesday afternoon.
