Wellington, This Day. if the scheme proposed by the Minister of Defence is fully carried out, lententii in the camp at Trentham will be superseded by huts and semi-perma-ueifl habitations constructed of wood and corrugated iron for the use of the members of the Expeditionary Force alia any other military forces that may cojne after tihem. "The Minister informed a Post representative that on his recommendation Cabinet Eas agreed to the erection of one hlit for officers and another for men, ITiit for the latter to contain 100 men, as a sample before they called for tenders for the erection of- the whole design. ''If we are going'to put them up," he said "we will do so as jiiickly as we can, so as to see if any improvements should be made before a contract is let for a larger number. It will bo difficult for the Department to keep us supplied with tents. if carried out in entirety the cost of the now scheme will bo between £14,000 and £15,000."
