The supply of potatoes has fallen off and values have advanced in coruequoi.ee. Wo recommend our .North Island clients to market their lines without delay while the price are favourable, as a decline is almost certain when the South Island crop comes •to hand, and this will be curly this year. Excellent lines or Canterbury onions have reached us during the weeii . and sold readily.' Grain—Oats, Maiae aud barley have advanced, while wheat is practically unprocurable, although we hope this position will be relieved by the time our present small stock ,s exhausted. Seed oats are in good demand, praticularly storm king, tor greein feed sowing. Good lines of algerians are scarce. Grass seed orders are coming in fast, and we advise booking early as prices are on the rise. The chaff market is quite unsettled. Excellent crops are reported in the I South. Eggs have advanced. Porkers are coining in freely, with a further slight decrease in value. We are now receiving enquiry for good lines of Is e\v season's honey. Cheese is in excellent demand, and we invite consignments with every confidence. Fruit.—Large shipments of stone fruits are arriving from Auckland, Motueka, and Hawkes Bay, and prices for plums, nectarines and peaches are lower since last report. The apricot season is about closed, and there is keen competition for the few choice lines Greengages are :ii short supply and prices ruling are satisfactory. The demand for Tomatoes since last report has improved considjrably, and satisfactory prices are ruling. Vegetables.—Good lines of green peas moot good demand, but tti elarge portions of consignments arriving are of ;n----ferior quality.
