Wo recommend our North island clients to market their Unea witnout delay while tlie price are favourable, as a decline is almost certain when the South Island crop comes to hand, and this will be early this year. Excellent lines ot Canterbury onions have reached us during the ween and sold readily. Grain—Oats, Maue and barley have advanced, while wheat is practically unprocurable, although we hope this position will be relieved by the time our present small stock is exhausted. Seed oats are in good demand, praticularly storm king, for green feed Bowing. Uood lines of algerians are scarce. Grass seed orders ' are coming in fast, and we advise booking early as .prices are on the rise. The chaff market is quite unsettled. Excellent crops are reported in the South. Eggp have advanced. Porkers are coming in freely, with a further slight decrease in value. We are now receiving enquiry for good lines of I'.ew season's honey. Cheese is in excellent demand, and we invite consignments with every confidence.

Fl'uit.—Large shipments of stone fruits are arriving from Auckland, Motueka, and Hawkes Bay, and prices for plums, nectarines and peaches are lower since last report. The apricot season is about closed, and there ±s keen competition for the few' qhoice' lines Greengages are in short supply and prices ruling are satisfactory. The demand for Tomatoes since last report has improved considerably, and satisfactory prices are ruling.

Vegatables—Good lines of green peas meet good demand, but th elarge portions of consignments arriving are of :n----ferior quality. Choice cauliflowers are in short supply, and satisfactory prices are ruling. Cabbages are easier in price, owing to french beans offering freely, and these are selling at fair rates only. Good lettuce meets keen competition. Turnips and parsnips are selling freely at satisfactory prices. Spring onions meet early sale.
