Maiden.—Marty less 1, Thoughtful 2, Blacking 3. Scratched: Rongaro, and Try Hard. Silverdale was left at the post. Won easily by a couple of lengths. Time, 1.15 3-5. Hack Hurdles.—Glen Nevis 1, Ascalon. 2, The Diver 3. All started. A good race; won on the post by half head, with five length between second and third horses. Time, 3.23 4-5. Wharite Hack.—Janitor 1, Merrie Gain 2, Blackall 3. Scratched: Sartovna, Sarbonite. A good race, won by half a length. Time 1.2U 2-osecs. THE DUNEDIN MEETING. Dunedin, This Day. The weather is fine but dull for the opening day of the Dunedin Jockey Club's autumn meeting. The attendance is good. Results:— . Hurdles.—Andrea 1, Stone Ginger 2, Cast-iron 3. Scratched Oyra. Won by a length and a half. Gladbrooke Handicap.—Wild Pilgrim 1, All Ready 2, Roumanta 3. Scratched : Marvellite, Dorothy Perkins. Won by two lengths.
