RECENT CANAL FIGHT DESCRIBED. London, Fob. 13. Tim Times' Ismalia eorrbspondent say 6 when night fighting at Ismailia began a torpedoer dashed up and landed five men on the eastern hank, south of Tousson. The Indians at tho outset found hundreds of Turkish in a hollow. The latter fired after signifying that they would surrender, and tho Indians with their bayonets killed or captured all. A British officer killed a Turkish officer with his sword in single combat. TURKS ANNIHILATED OR CAPTURED. London, Feb. 14. Cairo reports that a detachment of troops landed near Tor, crossed the hills, surprised and annihilated a Turkish force of 200, whereof 100 were made prisoners including a Turkish major. Twenty camels were captured. One Gurkha ws killed and one wounded. TO HOLD CONSTANTINOPLE. Professor Milinkoff, leader of the Russian Liberals, states that the Allies have agreed that at the end of the war Russia shall hold Constantinople. Tho Spectator approves the step. ENEMY REPULSED. Petrograd, Feb. "3. Official.—Wo repulsed tho enemy nt. Ividuek, near Wysykow-Porogue, near the Bukovina frontier, inflicted heavy losses near Koziomoka, and seized trenches in Latowiska-Zavadok region north of Uzsok, capturing 500 prisoners and three machine guns. Official.—Tho enemy's attacks were repulsed, and they suffered severe losses in the Lyck district. Tho' Russians captured fortified heights in tho Svidnik district and between Lupkow Pass and the Upper San, taking 1(R)0 prisoners. GERMANY REJOICING. Acsterdani, Feb. 1 3. A German official message claims that they captured 2600 Russians, 20 cannon and 30 machine gums on the Masurian Lakes during a period unspecified.
