[By our Resident Representative.] BOWLING AND TENNIS. The buuier.s and tennis players mustered as usual on Wednesday afternoon. On Uie bowling green tlie games for the Club's championship medals were continued. The groen, it mar be noted, is now in very good order, and reflects credit on Mr Hensman who has the management of it for some time past. Hensman ,-uia Roach (skip) 20 v. Gardiner and Fargher (skip) 17. Voysoy and Venn 22 v. Shankland and Mitchell (skip) ""S. Palmer and Gallnnd 31 v. McKonzie. and Stephenson 19. Clayton and Gunning 23 v. Column and Butt 18. On the tennis court friendly games were played. Mrs Gallnnd and Miss Hughes dispensed afternoon .tea
WEDDING. The most important event in Shannon on Wednesday last was the marriage of Miss Tvy Glnddice Lowiwlns Hook and Mr Robert Charles Collins. The ceremony foot place at the Methodist Church and was conducted by (he minister- in charge, the "Rev. J. Crawford The bridesmaids were Misses Myrtle and Ruby Hook. Mr W. H. Collins acted as best man an,l Mr H. E. Hook as groomsman. The bride was attired in a handsome costume of silk eioline with silk insertion and a bridal veil with orange blossoms. Her travelling costume was of navy serge witli black Tint. The bridesmaids' drosses were of cream voile with cream PATNS TN THE STOMACH. While; this ailment is not dangerous if is not at all pleasant and anyone who is subject to attacks of it will be -pleased to learn how quick relief may he had. A dose of Chamberlain's Colic and Diarrhoea Remedy in a little water is all that is necessary. The bride's mother wore a dress of black vengalin with black all-over laco and satin trimmings, black hat with blue mounts When the bride entered tho Church the choir sang "The Voice that Breathed o'er Eden," Miss Olive Lau-rvig presiding at the organ. Tho bride was given away by her father, Mr G. E. Hook. At the conclusion ofT.h© ceremony the briday party left the Church to the strains of Mendelssohn's "Wedding March. About forty sat down to the wedding breakfast at Mrs Lambert's refreshment rooms where the usual toasts were honoured. The liap- ■ py couple started shortly after on their honeymron trip U, Wanganui.
