Mrs Dixon. of Bunnythorpe, aged about 77, has been missing from the Foxton heads since Saturday morning. She left her home to gather shells at about nine o'clock and has not been seen or heard of since. A search party left at 9.30 p.m. and Searched till morning, when Constable Woods and a . large party on horseback left Foxton and searched alt-day on the beacli some distances from the houses, Taut no trace could be found of the missing lady. Gravest results are feared and it is thought that Mrs Dixon got into the Manawatu river and has been drowned. A reward of £§ is being offered by the relatives for the discovery of the body. The local police are searching TTWWn tuu/nh to-dftT.
