« DALGETY AM) CO., LTD. Messrs Dalgety ami (Jo. Ltd. report having held their usual weekly sale at Levin yards 011 Friday, 29th inst., when a heavy entry of both sheep and cattle came forward. • The continued dry weather 011 the west coast is nou having a little effect 011 tlic sales, and bidding is inclined to drag. For special lots of lambs and wethers at the sale on Friday very satisfactory business was done., although there was not much keenness in the buying. Our principal sales were as under:— SHEEP.—-Black-faced lambs lis od ; medium black faced lambs 8s 3d to 9s 2d medium white faced lambs 6s 7d t.6 7s 9d ; -1 and 1 5-vear-old-ewes (low condition) 13s. Fat ewes :We had a very heavy entry, 950 being yarded. We are pleased to be able to report ,1 total clearance, prices realising from 17s Id to 21s 6d. CATTLE.—Fat cows IXi 4s to £7 9s, 3-year-old sftoers £0 9s; 2-year-old steel's £5 10s to £5 lis; 18-months to 2-year-old steers £4 ss; 2-year old heifers £3 6s to £3 12s; empty cows (fair condition) £4 to £4 7s; forward cows £4 12s to £5, mixed yearlings £2 Is to £2.85, bulls £5 10s to £9.
