A MISSING DEFAULTER.
Adelaide, Jan. 17. Recently a well-known chaff merchant disappeared from Home and was sTTpposeu to be drowned. It was discovered that be had liabilities totalling AM.8,532. it is ascertained that he received large sums in cash prior to tho nis disappearance which he did not bank. He was traced to Sydney where lie opened a bank account. Later he transferred tUe same to a Canadian bank. The police failed to arrest him in Sydney.
