THE PRICE OF SUGAR.
Melbourne, This Day. The Victorian manufacturers still refuse to sign the Defence Department's contract containing the objectionable clause cabled on the 14th. Manufacturers in other States are in sympathy with the price of goods.
The Board refuses to sanotion 'an increase in the price of sugar from £21 2s 6d to £23.
