Territorial drill will be held this evening at the DriU Bail, Levin at 8 p.m. Since the outbreak of war (says the Christchurch Press) a number of young residents of Chatham Island have enlisted with New Zealand's Expeditionary Force, and amongst the passengers on board the HimitaJigi, which arrived •at Lyttelton on Saturday night, were two stalwart youths who intend going to the front. One of tho volunteers is about 22 years of age Cft high, and the whole of his life has been spent on the Island. Prior to arriving in Lyttelton he had not seen a railway train or an up-to-date steamer, and' the sight of a vessel of the type of the Maori caused him. some astonishment. If every man or *oman who goes outside Levin for every requirement in drapery and clothing will come to Clark's sale we can easily prove (outside the question of loyalty to your district) that wo can give as big if not bigger than outsiders. Advt.
