WEDDING IN LEVIN.

♦ RUSSELL-AVOOMJNfG. A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Mary's Angleian Church, Levin, 011 Wednesday, January 20th, the contracting parties being Mr IT. H. h. llussell, of Levin, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. B. Russell, of Eketaluuia, and Miss Jessie Nelson Wooding, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Wooding, of Stanley-street. Levin. The Rev. H. T. S tea ley was the officiating minister. The bride was given away by her father, Miss Phyllis Russell, sister of bridegroom, was bridesmaid, while Mr F. Wooding, brother of the bride, acted in the capacity of best man. The wedding march was played bv Mrs Stealey. A large fluniber of

relations and friends were present at tile ceremony, and afterwards at Williams's tea-rooms where the usual toasts were honoured. 'I lie 'bride looked charming in a dress of white silk with silk shadow lace trimmings. She More the orthodox veil and carried a bouquet of orange blossoms. Tho bridesmaid wore a pretty dress o-f pink silk voile. Mr and Mrs Russell were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents, among them being several cheques from various friends, a handsome oak saladi howl from the staff of Mr C .Frechtling, o'f Levin, where Mrs Russell has been employed for some years, and also a TTeautiful tea service and cheque from Messrs Hnswell Bros, of whose s-tafF Mr Russell ha,s been a member for some time. The 'bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch and the bridesmain a gold brooch set wrth amethysts. THe bride's present to the bridegroom was a gold watch chain. With the bp.st wishes of their many friends who had gathered on tho platform and 'a midst showers of confetti the happy couple left by the evening train j for the south en route to Canterbury j where their future home will be.
