A German wireless states that our troops north-east of Soissous attacked the heights of Wreguy and they cleared the elevated plain. Trench after trench was stormed until after dark, despite the pouring rain and the deeply sodden clay. The Kaiser witnessed the brilliant capture of fourteen French officers, 1300 men, four cannon and four machine guns and one searchlight. THE FRENCH REPORT Paris, Jan. 14. The attack north-east of Soissons wa« of considerable magnitude. Apparently the recent French attacks menaced the railway stations at Anizy and Le Cateau. General Von Kluck successfully appealed for strong reinforcements and was enabled to press the counter-attack vehemently.
