The Coroner, Mr Nation, iieici an inquest on the body of Mr Herbert Hodge, who, with his .son, Alfred, was drowned while> handling, a net at Iβ Horo on Monday evening. It is surmised that the father was bitten by a shark as the flesh of one arm wae torn away, and he is otherwise disfigured. The Coroner brought in a. verdict of "death by accidental drowning; while fishing." Mr Hodge was a j native of South Wairaiapa.
