Palmer lias gone south to attend a gathering of religious students. /he Rev. J. A. McKenzie is also away from Shannon. Mrs and Miss Laurvig have also gone 311 a holiday trip for a fortnight. The trouble was owing to the public not knowing that the trains would not stop at the racecourse. A railway officer should he in charge at :lie racecourse to give information and ;eo that such bungling does not occtTt '.gain.
