A young woman named Lydia Schultz, aged 25, belonging to Morton, was arrested in Palmerston North, and charged with the murder of a child whose body was in a gravel pit near Palmerst-on. She is supposed to be the child's mother. The Heatherlea Golf Culb will hold a "button" competition at the Heatherlea golf links to-mor-row (Saturday) afternoon. Judgment in the case Stansell v. Coy (a claim for £115 12s 6d commission) was given by Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M., in the Levin S.M. Court on Thursday. The Government Astronomer (Mr C. Adams) has received a message from Mr Burrachi, Government Astronomer at Melbourne, stating that a new comet has been discovered-by one Zlatinsky, at Mikau, Couiiand, South llussia.
