KING'S BIRTHDAY, 1914. ' .*>?
It has been v decided to hold parades of. troops at all local centres on .the 3rd June in honour of the King's Birthday. A Royal Salute of "twenty-one guns will be fired by It.N.Z.A. at Wellington. • At Wellington City General I. N S. M. G.C.M., D.5.0., Inspector-General of the Oversea Forces, will be the reviewing officer.
The Salute will Be fired at 9 a.m. and the troops, should be on their way home by 9.45 a.m. Parades will be compulsory and will count as whole-day parades. Leave of absence may be given, but those absent without leave will be prosecuted. At local centres, where sufficient troops are not available to hold a review,. they will co-operate with any celebrations conducted by local authorities. With the exception of suburban troops being brought by rail to Wellington City, no movement of troops will be authorised. Dress.—Review order (service dress—all ranks), as laid down in circular memo v No. 1/1913, dated Gth January, 1913 (published in District Order 12/1913). The parade at Wellington City will be dismounted. Senior Cadets will not bp required to attend in the Wellington District. Officers commanding parades to district head--the total number on parthe following headfa) Sfrrff and Permanent Force. (b) Territorials. (c) General Training Section. These must be submitted on parade states later. / For the purpose of the parade the No. 4 Company N.Z.E V No. 4 Company Field Ambulance and Divisional Signal Company will be under the orders of the officer commanding Wellington Coast Defences;
