'-..,.-■ Mr Bonar Law replied that he did not presume to criticize what the Speaker considered his duty, but his own duty was not to an- - swer the question: ■■'••- ■ The Opposition cheered Irantieally. Speaker, during a lull in the disorder, iexpressed disappointment at Mr Bonar Law's action in not assisting to obtain order, and suspended the sitting until to-morrow. A SUFFRAGETTE RAID. In the presence of many thousands of persons fhe suffragettes made a raid on Buckingham Palace. It was a fiasco. A little band of women headed by Mrs Pankhurst, Sylvia Pankhurst and Mrs Tuke' quitted the crowd and rushed towards tjie police cordon at, the top of Constitution Hill. Mrs Pankhurst was seized and placed in a taxi cab shouting "That's right; arrested at the Palace; tell, the King." Sylvia Pankhurst was removed to Holloway gaol. There was much hand-to-hand fighting and several of the police Were injured. The women threw white and green colouring matter .over the ■police.* Forty-two women and three men were arrest-ed. Advices from Itegina, Saskatchewan, state that Mounted Pol-ice-Inspector Betts lias been despatched on a three years' search within the Arctic circle for the murderers of the explorers Radford and Street, who were killed by Eskimos. He will travel generally by dog teams, but probably by boat as far as Foii CJjurchill. Betts proposes to make a thorough investigation amongst the tribes around Chesterfield inlet.
